2nd China-CEEC Expo delivers quality 'report card'

The second China-CEEC Expo concluded in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 11, having delivered a series of positive results.

A total of 12 multi-lateral activities aimed at promoting trade collaboration were launched during the expo, with 97 two-way investment programs signed worth $18.21 billion. In addition, letters of procurement intent signed at the expo amounted to a cumulative total investment of 10.78 billion yuan ($1.62 billion).

With 20 events that covered summits and forums, economic and trade dialogues and cultural exchanges, the second China-CEEC Expo boasted a total exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, nearly 90,000 sq m more than the first one, and added special exhibition sections including the domestic-foreign integrated trade section and the Zhejiang digital trade section.

More than 3,000 exhibition stands were installed, attracting 2,041 business participants and 7,468 professional purchasers.

Chinese State-owned key enterprises, as well as globally-influential brands from CEE countries, such as Gorenje and Tescoma, all took part in the expo. The items on display were not restricted to agricultural products, but also covered seven other sectors, such as mechatronics and life care. Customers were able to have a cutting edge shopping experience.

Over 80 specialists and scholars gathered at the expo, exchanging opinions with government bodies, investment promotion institutions and firms during 11 forums.
